As the Director of Senior Ministries at Stratford Heights, my desire is to reach out to everyone who has a desire to to join together in acts of worship, with the fun of fellowship, and following JESUS in discipleship. My hope is that we all can work together to determine the needs of our Seniors. We have different activities we are involved in, and hope to add many more in the future. Linda Pitts is the Director, and Rella Robinson her Co-Director in our "55 & Alive" group. We meet every 3rd Thursday of the month for a meeting. Our meetings are normally at a different restaurant each month. For some outings that are a few miles away, a bus is provided. I hope our Senior Adult group keeps growing, we have more than doubled in the last year. If you enjoy fellowship with a great group of Senior's, ours is the best, tell all your Senior friends and bring them to our outings.

Hey 55 & Alive

Stratford Seniors, I am planning to try some new outings starting this month for seniors. This outing, along with Linda Pitts and 55 & Alive will give us more opportunity to do more things. On Oct. 6th, we will be going to the Air Force Museum, There will be 3 different I-MAX presentations that day. “THE RESCUE, HUBBLE, AND FIGHTER PILOT.” The three hours that we are there we can maybe divide our time so each one can see one or two I-MAX presentations, tour the museum, and have lunch up stairs. We will be there from around 12:00 to 3:00. The bus will leave Stratford at 11:00 AM, and we will leave the Air Force museum around 3:30. Each I-MAX presentation is around $6.50. Stratford Senior “SINGLES”, On Oct. 8th (Sat. evening) at Princeton Pike. This is for all Senior Singles who want to have fun and fellowship. This will be game night. Bring your favorite table game. (NO CARDS) They are going to have beans and cornbread on this occasion followed by dessert. Give some thought as to what you want to bring. They will need several pots of beans, several pans of cornbread, chopped onions, bottles of ketchup, relish, soft drinks. Water and coffee are provided. Prayer, fellowship, clean up the area, and plan for the November outing. If you have any questions contact Mike Hay.

55 & Alive, Our outing for Oct. will be on the 20th. We will be going to the Golden Dragon in Middletown. Everyone should be there by 12:30, or maybe 12:15 if possible. There will be “NO” bus service this month since we are eating locally. Please be sure to tell your friends and bring them along, the more the better. See you there.

CHRISTMAS, IT’S ALMOST HERE, Start making plans for Dec. 2 Noon. We will be going to LaComedia to see “A CHRISTMAS CAROL.” Everyone always enjoys going there. Tickets will be $36.00 each.All money must be turned in to me by Nov.1. More information will be coming.... GOD BLESS, Mike Hay
